Calendar of Events:
September-May: Great Artist Program- Our Art Rotation Aides teach about a famous artist each month. Students try their hand at recreating a famous piece of art.
October-May: Art with the Principal- Mrs. Bona teaches an art concept and guides classrooms to complete an art project each year in grades 1-6.
November 9-Veteran’s Day-Honoring Veterans connected to Midas Creek. Each grade will be singing a tribute song to our Veterans and for the finale, all students will stand and sing “God Bless the USA.”
Orchestra–Festival of the Trees-Mrs. Holt and our Midas Creek Orchestra will perform at the Festival of the Trees.
Midas Creek Choir: Holiday Performances: Under the direction of Mrs. Blackburn, Mrs. Greenwood, Mrs. Davies and Mrs. McLaughlin, our choir performs music for a winter theme around the world.
February 28 & March 1: Sixth Grade Musical- Sixth graders will dazzle our audiences at school and at night for parents as they perform their annual musical. This year they are performing “Robin and the Hoodies.”
May 16-17- Evening of the Arts–(Families with last names A-L invited to attend May 16, and families with last names M-Z invited to attend May 17.
Visual Arts Displays outside classrooms and in the cafeteria from classroom art lessons and Great Artist program taught by our Art Aides, Kristie Miller, Heidi Baker, and Whitney McKell during rotations.

Each grade level will be called up to perform some of the music activities from our year of music with Mrs. Watson.
Orchestra-Mrs. Holt teaches orchestra for our students after school. They will participate in the Battle of the Bands, a district concert.
