Welcome to Midas Creek!

2024-25 School Theme:

Students will be following Mario and Luigi in level up their learning in all areas. We will focus on setting goals, having a growth mindset, and celebrating our small wins towards our end goal. Our main priority will be showing kindness to all students during their learning process.

Each month, every teacher will select one student to celebrate how they showed kindness towards other students. Students that are selected will be announced, get their picture taken, and get a small treat and prize. We will send home a post card sharing the exciting news! Midas Creek students, get ready to LEVEL UP YOUR KINDNESS!

Skylert, Parent Square, and Skyward, oh my!

Jordan School District will no longer be using Skylert as the electronic means of communication. Instead, we will be using Parent Square (what you’re receiving this message through). The beautiful thing about Parent Square is that all of your students, preschool to high school, will be synced in the app. There will be a calendar, posts, and an ability to message specific teachers/classes. This is also synced with text messages. You can download the app through Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Skyward, however, will still be used for grades, conferences, and to pay for meal services. This is where you will see your child’s teachers on August 5th.

PHONES & WATCHES: It is school policy that students should not be using their phones or watches during school hours for any reason. This includes rotations, recess, and lunchtime. If your child is contacting you on their device, please remind them of the rules and have them come to the office to call. Consequences for students being on their device are as follows;

1st Offense: The device is brought to the office, guardians are notified, and the student may pick up the device at the end of the school day.

2nd Offense & After: The device is brought to the office, guardians are notified, and guardians need to pick up the device at the end of the school day.

We understand that there are times parents need to remind their child of things, please know you can call the main office and we will get the message to them so that their device doesn’t ring during the school day. *Please note that during tests, many teachers require all smartwatches to be placed in backpacks.
